Laser Procedures

Laser Hair Removal

What is laser hair removal?

Laser hair removal is a process of removing unwanted hair from the body to a point of minimal or no growth using a long pulse laser.

What kind of laser do you use?

We use Candela Gentle Max Pro – it’s two lasers in one: Candela’s GentleYag for dark skin combined with their GentleLase, an Alexandrite laser, for light skin. Also, it has a unique patented cooling system, which provides comfort as well as efficacy for all skin types.

How many treatments do I need?

As hair follicles develop in stages, 6-8 sessions are often required to effectively destroy all hair follicles.

How do I avoid burns and hyper or hypo-pigmentation?

These unfortunate conditions usually result from laser settings that are not effectively matched to the client’s skin and hair type or safety guidelines that are not complied with following a laser treatment. At LA Beauty Skin Center, we have the knowledge, expertise, and technology to ensure that we can provide you with personalized treatments that account for your individual needs to avoid these unfortunate outcomes.

Laser Vein Treatment

What is laser vein treatment?
Laser vein treatment is a non-invasive procedure that effectively treats varicose veins, including red facial veins and blue, red, or purple leg veins.
How does it work?
The laser emits a light that is absorbed by the blood in the vessels, causing the vein to break up and disappear. It’s as easy as that!
How many treatments do I need?
Some clients will only need one session to treat their varicose veins, while others may require multiple visits. Either way, it usually takes about 8-12 weeks to truly see results.

Laser Skin Tightening

What is laser skin tightening?
Laser skin tightening is an anti-aging treatment that can effectively tighten loose skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles on the face and body.
How does it work?
Laser light is applied to the chosen area of skin, heating up the skin and allowing collagen to be applied that will tighten in place, resulting in a smoother and firmer appearance.
How many sessions will I need?
Each procedure is based on the individual needs of the client, but laser skin tightening often requires multiple sessions. You should partner with a medical practitioner before your laser skin tightening treatment, in order to receive expert advice that will ensure the long-term success of the procedure.

Sun Spot Removal

How did sun spots develop on my skin?
As the name suggests, sunspots are often the result of prolonged exposure to the sun without protection. They can also develop from prolonged exposure to other ultraviolet rays, such as those of a tanning bed.
How are sun spots removed?
Depending on the type of hyperpigmentation, suggested treatments to remove sun spots include laser therapy, dermabrasion, and chemical peels. Please consult a doctor to determine the best method of sun spot removal for your specific skin type.

Injectables

What are injectables?
Injectables are chemical substances that are used to plump up certain areas of the skin, providing various anti-aging properties. They are inserted using a needle and carry a very low risk of complications and a very high success rate.
Will I need recovery time?
Injectables are a great option because they require little to no recovery time and no anesthesia. Plus, they often only require one visit to produce fantastic results.
What type of injectables do you use?
A full list of our injectable products can be found here, but some of our popular options are Botox, Dysport, Juvederm, and Voluma.
How do I know which product is right for me?
At LA Beauty Skin Center, we take a personalized approach to determining the best injectable product for you. First, it will depend upon the area you want to be injected, as each product produces different results on different parts of the body. Then, we will take into account your individual skin type, the extent of your issue (i.e. deep wrinkles versus shallow crows feet), and the potential side effects of each product to choose an injectable that will give you the desired results as quickly as possible.
How long will injectable procedures take?
Each client will have different needs, but many of our injectable procedures are often completed in under an hour.

Facials

Why should I get a facial?

A facial is a relaxing and soothing way to improve the overall look of your skin, remove impurities, and add a healthy glow to your face.

What types of facials do you offer?

In addition to chemical peels, microneedling and dermarollers, we also offer a variety of advanced facials that are tailored to your specific skin type. Some options include enzyme facials that gently exfoliate dry skin, extractions, and exfoliants from salicylic or glycolic acid for oily skin, and microdermabrasion for combination skin. When you arrive for your appointment, our master aesthetician will assess your skin type and customize your facial to meet your complexion needs.

What is a peel?

A chemical peel is a facial treatment that combines skin care elements and naturally occurring acids such as alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), beta hydroxy acid (BHA), or salicylic acid to remove the top layer of your skin and restore a radiant and smooth appearance to your complexion.

What is a dermaroller?

A dermaroller is a small tool with hundreds of microneedles that are rolled over your skin to fade stretch marks, acne scars, wrinkles, and sun damage. As the needles penetrate your skin, the trigger the cells to “fill” any holes or damaged skin with new collagen and elastin.

How is a dermaroller different than a peel?

While the peel removes the top layer of skin to trigger a radiance boost, the dermaroller renews the skin cells, making your skin stronger and healthier where peels may cause fragility and weakness.

CoolSculpting

What is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is a non-surgical, FDA approved treatment that can reduce stubborn body fat by delivering cold temperature to problem areas on the body, resulting in tissues that freeze and die off.

Is CoolSculpting safe?

CoolSculpting is very safe. The fat cells that are targeted with the cold temperature freeze sooner than surrounding tissues, so the cold will not affect any other cells in your body.

How many sessions will I need?

The required sessions varies for each client, but typically it will require 1-3 treatments to fully remove your desired fat.

How long does it take?

Sessions typically take about an hour.

Will I need recovery time?

CoolSculpting dissolves your unwanted fat internally with no surgical incision required, resulting in zero required recovery time, as well as no pain and no serious side effects.

Will I see results immediately?

CoolSculpting freezes the fat cells immediately, but since the procedure occurs entirely internally, it may take a few weeks for your body to fully cleanse the treated area. Therefore, it is more likely that you will see gradual progress in your fat reduction over time, rather than immediate results.
